Sebastian Holmqvist,

CFP® Financial Advisor

As a teenager, I ran our local paper route during the summer.

During the years of being the local paper boy, I learned a few things about the people I was delivering the paper to. Mrs. Blomgren always had two sugars with her morning coffee. Mr. Persson liked his paper no later than 6:30 a.m. — he wanted to do the crossword puzzle before his wife woke up. Mrs. Mhyrman always ate freshly made "fralla" (Swedish for sandwich) with her paper.

The next summer, another local paper started a route that was the same as mine. The other paper boy and I would occasionally pass each other on our routes and were always friendly towards one another.

After a couple of weeks, the other boy stopped me during my route and asked, "How come people around here doesn't want to buy my paper and ask for you instead?" I replied, "That's because I do more than just deliver their newspaper". Then I began and explain how I help Mrs. Blomgren with coffee in the morning, that I make sure Mr. Persson gets his paper before 6:30 a.m., and that I bring a "Fralla" to Mrs. Mhyrman with every paper.

When asked "why?", I said, "Because that is what's important to them."

Today, as a financial advisor, I use those same principles I learned to help determine the most appropriate financial strategy for those who run a business or are thinking about retirement. We focus on personal relationships and strategic planning.

The way I do it is by finding out what is important to you. Using an established process, I build personalized financial strategies to help pursue your goals. Together, we review and revisit your goals to help you stay on track.

Originally from Sweden, I graduated in 2013 from Rocky Mountain College, where I played soccer, with a degree in business management and economics.

My beautiful wife, Olivia, and I have three amazing kids. We enjoy family time, traveling and sports.
